The Trudy Muñoz case, mentioned in this series in the Washington Post, is one of Jon Sheldon’s and Sheldon, Flood & Haywood’s many criminal defense pro bono projects involving trial and post-conviction matters in the D.C. and Northern Virginia area. We strongly believe that Trudy is innocent and her conviction rested almost solely on the discredited science behind the diagnosis of “Shaken Baby Syndrome”.
